Othram’s David and Kristen Mittelman Named Contributors for the 49th Season of ABC News’ “20/20”
Othram today announced that David and Kristen Mittelman have been retained as contributors for the 49th season of ABC News’ “20/20.” In their roles, they will help viewers understand how advances in forensic DNA technology are transforming investigations and bringing long-awaited answers to families.
Othram has worked with local, state, federal and international partners to apply forensic genetic genealogy in thousands of investigations involving unidentified human remains, missing persons and violent crimes. Othram has supported more forensic genetic genealogy investigations than any other organization and develops technology that other organizations use to conduct this work.
Through its relationship with “20/20” and ABC News, Othram is excited to bring stories from its work to a larger audience. David and Kristen will also provide commentary on other stories covered by the program, explaining the forensic science behind investigations and its implications for victims, their families and the criminal justice system.
They appear in “Home Alone,” airing Friday, October 2, from 9–11 p.m. ET on ABC and streaming the following day on Disney+ and Hulu. The episode examines the murder of Allison Feldman and the role of familial DNA in helping investigators solve the case.
